How much of Japanese taste is in those icons collected from the western world: the legendary AC Cobra - the all American sports car from the ‘60, the stylish elite motorcycle, a Moto Guzzi V7 Sport that won races back in the ‘70s. Neon lights crowded haphazardly on a jet black background. The dancers, all of them naked. One of them is carrying the Thyrsus, the one on the right arching back, losing equilibrium. As in a cameo carved more than 20 centuries ago. The three Maenads move around randomly, their dance is a dance of craze. A holy dance of frenzy and blood. A God is heralded by them, a God who died as a child and then was born again. Who is this young stranger, wearing a woman’s dress, storming the City?
