Ya Ali

Flames burn on the left, as the flaming shi’ite invocation to Ali, cousin and son-in-law of the Prophet Muhammad, for a request of strength. As in all Zalmoxis’s ambiguities, here stands a non-sexual yet princely beautiful woman. Deep blue on the right might be her hair, or a veil. Is she a source of burning strength, or is a burning strength necessary to deal with her? Red flames are dancing, blue waves are flowing. She is no statue at all. She is life.
